I just got the "AOC 24" 24G2U IPS 144 Hz" Link yesterday and have been fiddling with the settings to get comfortable colour settings. There are two additional models with the ‘U’ suffix: the AOC 24G2U and the AOC 27G2U which also feature a quad-USB 3.0 hub and integrated 2W speakers. AOC’s C24G1 is an excellent gaming monitor for those on a budget, but for those of you who prefer flat screens as opposed to curved ones, then the AOC 24G2U is definitely the monitor for you. Eurogamer, a website from the UK focused on video game journalism, software and hardware reviews just published an article titled “The best gaming monitor 2019” in their renowned hardware section “Digital Foundry”. Note that the AOC 24G2 is also available as a 27″ variant, the AOC 27G2. The AOC 24G2U 144Hz monitor we've chosen is built around an IPS display, and therefore offers better colour accuracy and wider viewing angles than more common TN … This is my first IPS monitor, i have only had TN screens before and i can clearly see that theres a big difference in colour, which is also why im having trouble finding settings that both look good when browsing as when gaming. We recommend the 24″ version as it offers a higher pixel density while also being cheaper (by ~$30). 24G2U is the "Best 144 Hz monitor" by Eurogamer. This 24in, 1920×1080, 144Hz, AMD FreeSync screen shares many of the same specs as the C24G1, but comes with a flat, even more accurate IPS panel instead of a curved VA one. In the article, the AOC 24G2U is listed as the “Best 144 Hz monitor”.
